They are made from animal, mineral or vegetable substances that are highly diluted and succussed (shaken) repeatedly. They are safe to be taken by infants, children, adults, elderly and also pets. Remedies cause no side effects. 
Conventional drugs work counter to your body’s natural immune system. They are intended to “kill” bacteria, stop or reduce the production of certain natural hormones or counteract the production of naturally occurring substances in your body in order to quell symptoms.

pathic remedies work with your body to engage your own system to heal itself. Your body possesses miraculous intelligence. Its constant goal is to attain greater health and balance. When you first take your remedy, you may notice nothing at all.
Or, you might notice a very brief increase in your original symptoms. We call this an “aggravation” and consider it a great sign that your body has recognized the remedy. This should be brief and when it stops, an increased feeling of wellness prevails. There are never any side-effects from homeopathic remedies. Whatever you experience is your own body’s individual response. It may respond in a number of possible ways. 1) a slight aggravation prior to a healing response, 2) an immediate and clear reduction in symptoms, 3) no discernible response at all, or 4) the temporary addition of minor symptoms you have never noticed before.
It is very important to report what you notice to your homeopath at the first follow up appointment. By doing so, it will be easier to assess what is taking place and what needs to happen next.
